The girly tomboy?

Okay, so a while back I was on the topshop website (when am I not on there?!) and they had a quiz to see which look suited you or something, I'm not quite sure. Anyway, I answered the questions and gave in my sizes hoping that the outcome would be a perfectly suited wardrobe for me and I could give everyone some ideas for what I want for my birthday (not long to go now!). At the end of the quiz I was pretty impressed with how well they seemed to know me and my style. A few of the clothing items on the list were not what I would chose on my own, but I really liked them.
One of the items that popped up was a gorgeous burgundy pinafore dress with sort of dungaree straps, I fell in love (obviously). It is now the number one item on my 'birthday list' (people still write birthday lists right?).

The day after I had taken the quiz, I went out into town with my Mum. I bought a different, denim pinafore dress from Topshop which is beautiful and goes with everything! Above are a few examples but seriously is pretty much goes with ANYTHING!

As it is now autumn (my FAVOURITE season!) it is now seen as acceptable to wear turtle necks and lots of layers as well as long sleeves, coats, boots and my personal favourite, scarves! This pinafore is honestly one of the best purchases that I have made all year, I will be able to wear it in summer, but for now I will continue to wear it with a layer or two beneath.
I cannot describe how comfortable this dress is and gave me an excuse (much to my mums displeasure) to go on a little bit of a shopping spree (again I hear you ask, I know it's bad!).

While I was out shopping I also picked up some sunglasses in the Urban Outfitters sale (I definitely cannot resist a good bargain). I have been obsessed with sunglasses this year and these are lovely. Down the arms is some really pretty metal with patterns engraved and they are quite delicate, the only down side is that I have a really small head and these are rather large but oh well!

Let me know what your autumn essential clothing is.
