Back to basics Hauling #1

The other day I was sitting in the waiting room of the orthodontist and happened to pick up a copy of Elle magazine. I enjoy reading, but with magazines my main interest is all the beautiful pictures and photos (particularly those that belong in the fashion category).

Within the section of this seasons upcoming trends and styles there was a page dedicated to the nude colours and more "basic" clothing. Before I had even seen this article I had already been picking up more 'nude' coloured clothes within the shops and I realised that I actually really love this style!

Recently I have bought a few clothes (all seem to be in the nude/autumnal colours... I'm already getting ready for autumn. Oops!). Here in the UK summer as we all know is supposed to be sunny, however that is not so much the case here and so the clothes that I have purchased recently are suited for both the sun (that we are supposed to receive in summer-although its still not here yet!) and the colder winter months.

I thought I would share with you what I have bought and where each item comes from- although a few were found in the sale so might not be being sold anymore.

For the past few months I have found no clothes what so ever in new look, but in the last couple of weeks new look has been like clothes heaven for me!

I have been looking at suede skirts for a while, however the skirt I picked up in new look was not suede, but parisian and is beautiful. It is very soft and has some lovely buttons down the front (which was something that I really wanted a skirt to include!).

Now before I spotted this (actually my Mum found this, nice going Mum!) and picked it up I never realised that I actually needed one, but as soon as my Mum had shown it to me it was an automatic necessity. I am someone who is cold most of the time and so a blanket which is acceptable to wear around throughout the day sounds perfect and will be great to take to France especially for in the cooler evening time. It is made of super soft material and keeps you so warm, not to mention the AMAZING colours! It's just like wearing a hug (cheesy I know, but so true).

I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of obsessed with this top.... it's just so pretty! At the back near the collar there are two small button/ clasp type things which keep the top held nicely to you. Also... notice how the skirt top and blanket wrap go together to form an outfit! Eh eh! I really like comfort and so all the clothes I picked up are super soft and comfortable... I can't be dealing with really tight tops and skirts that you can't walk in, no thank you.

The neck on this top finishes it really nicely and adds something of interest, without it, it would be a very plain and boring top indeed. Again, and I know I talk about comfort and softness a LOT, but this top is so so super soft and sometimes I catch myself hugging it at random times... I know, weird right?

Now topshop is a personal favourite of mine, but everything in there is SO expensive, £70 for a top? I don't think so. Even though they are not included in the picture I have recently purchased a pair of the black joni jeans in topshop and I would thoroughly recommend topshop jeans to anyone looking. Although on the pricy side of the scale, these jeans and pure comfort and look great with anything without restricting movement (seriously I could do a marathon in these jeans!). They are so soft and good quality, in the past I have tried new look jeans (which all seem to rip at the knees?) and Primark ones (which are just no where near the good quality) and these are definitely the best that I have tried. Pricy, but totally worth every penny!

These sandals, like the jeans were bought a while a go, but I was still really saddened to see that they are now in the sale! The first time of wearing these I admittedly got blisters on my heels, but that seems to be the only hardship for having such a gorgeous pair of shoes (I mean seriously... LOOK AT THEM!). These are without a doubt my favourite sandals and my go to shoes right now in summer (except when it is raining, which is a lot of the time). I think that the gold on the heel really adds to the shoe as a whole and completes it.

The mustard colour blouse was found in the H&M sale, but sadly is not longer available. I think that everything that I bought could fit together to make a whole collection of outfits and I| really love all of my purchases. The lion king top was a Primark purchase, now I don't really shop in Primark all that much, (there isn't even one where I live!), but novelty Disney tops are must buys of course!

I'm going on holiday to France soon and I can't wait to wear all of my new buys. Have you bought anything new lately or have found some summer must haves? Let me know!

    1. Thank you I'm so glad that you like them. Here in the UK summer is not very reliable, one day it can be sunny the next it feels like winter again! x
